Who is C.E.M.?
C.E.M. Elettromeccanica is an Italian manufacturer based in Nonantola, near Modena, producing pumps and electrical/electromechanical equipment for the marine sector. Its range covers DC and AC electric pumps, pulley-driven pumps with manual or electromagnetic clutch, hydraulic motors, water pressure sets, blower and fan units, and diesel-driven pump packages. The company supplies medium and large builders of recreational, fishing and military vessels and positions itself around "Made in Italy" quality. Products are offered in 12/24V DC and 220-230V AC configurations, built to withstand vibration and salt water exposure, and are also used in commercial and naval projects.
C.E.M. units typically use stainless steel or bronze housings, seawater-resistant seals and thermally protected motors, aimed at long service life and low maintenance in a saline environment. Alongside direct supply to new-build projects, the company supports the existing fleet worldwide through service workshops and spare parts.
C.E.M. products with Aslan Yacht
As part of our energy and battery systems and yacht electrical work, Aslan Yacht installs, wires and maintains C.E.M. bilge pumps, deck wash pumps and AC/DC pressure sets. On motor yachts and sailing yachts we check existing C.E.M. pumps for flow rate (l/h), current draw (A) and voltage drop, and identify worn diaphragms, seized float switches and blown fuses for replacement with original or equivalent parts. Aslan Yacht is not an authorized C.E.M. dealer or service centre; we install and service the brand's products with our own independent technical approach.
Typical jobs
- Installing C.E.M. bilge and pressure pumps and sizing cable cross-sections on new-build or refit projects
- Integrating float switches and alarms, covered in our bilge pump and alarm systems article
- Diagnosing reduced flow, noise or breaker trips on existing pump sets
- Checking and commissioning the pump system ahead of winter lay-up
Why Aslan Yacht
We support motor yacht and sailing yacht owners around Turgutreis D-Marin, Yalıkavak Palmarina, Milta Bodrum Marina and Gümüşlük, from initial installation through to fault diagnosis of C.E.M. pump systems. Measurements are taken with a multimeter and clamp meter, and replaced parts are documented with real technical values (V, A, l/h). Cable sizing accounts for voltage drop, and fuses or breakers are rated to the pump's actual current draw.
During our pre- and post-season checks we also inspect the float switch, control relay and terminal connections of C.E.M. pump sets, reducing the risk of an unexpected pump failure mid-season.
