Privacy Policy

This page explains how personal data you share through our website and contact form is processed under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data we process

When you fill in the contact form on our website, or contact us by e-mail, phone or WhatsApp, we may process the following personal data:

  • First and last name
  • E-mail address and phone number
  • Information about your boat and the marina it is berthed in (boat name, model, marina)
  • Any other information you share in your message (fault description, photos, etc.)
  • Limited technical log data from your visit to the website (IP address, browser information, access date/time)

We do not collect payment details, identity document copies or special categories of data through our website. If you only browse the site without submitting the contact form or writing to us, we do not ask for your name, e-mail or phone number; only limited technical logs necessary for the site to run securely are generated.

Purposes of processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Evaluating and responding to the service, maintenance and repair requests you submit
  • Preparing quotes and scheduling appointments for the services you request
  • Maintaining communication with you and managing the customer relationship
  • Ensuring the security of the website and resolving technical issues
  • Complying with legal obligations arising from applicable law

Your personal data is processed on the following legal bases under Article 5 of the KVKK (and, correspondingly, Article 6 GDPR):

  • Your explicit consent (given when you submit the contact form),
  • Processing directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract (quotes and contracts for the service you request),
  • Our legitimate interest as data controller, where processing is necessary for that interest (website security, keeping records of requests),
  • Compliance with a legal obligation (retention requirements under commercial and accounting law).

Data transfers

Your personal data may be shared, only to the extent necessary to provide the service and in line with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK (and Chapter V of the GDPR where applicable), with third-party service providers such as our website hosting provider and our corporate e-mail provider. These providers may be located in Türkiye or abroad; where data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards required by the KVKK and/or GDPR are observed. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent or a legal exception.

Retention period

Your personal data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes of processing, subject to the statutory limitation periods set out in applicable law (for example, Turkish commercial and tax legislation). Correspondence relating to a quote or service request may be kept for a reasonable additional period after the work and any related invoicing is completed, to allow us to respond to disputes or warranty-related claims. After this period, your data is deleted, destroyed or irreversibly anonymised.

Your rights under KVKK Article 11 and the GDPR

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, and equivalently under the GDPR, you may contact us to:

  • learn whether your personal data is being processed,
  • request information about such processing,
  • learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
  • know the third parties to whom your data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad,
  • request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
  • request erasure or destruction of your data under the conditions set out in Article 7 of the KVKK (or, under the GDPR, request erasure, restriction of processing, or data portability, and object to processing),
  • request that any such correction or erasure be notified to third parties to whom your data was transferred,
  • object to a result that is to your detriment arising solely from automated analysis of your data,
  • claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.

How to apply

To exercise the rights above, please send your request, together with information that allows us to verify your identity, by e-mail to info@aslanyacht.com or in writing to Bahçelievler Mah. 7168 Sok. No:3/13, Turgutreis, Bodrum / Muğla, Türkiye. Your request will be resolved free of charge as soon as possible and within the period required by applicable law; if the request requires additional cost, a fee may be charged in accordance with the tariff set by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
